Alex Lugo (they/them) is a nonbinary & queer artist from Miami, Florida — Currently, on Broadway with the Tony-Winning Best Musical, Hadestown.

While a Sophomore at New York University, Alex joined the third year company of the RENT 20th Anniversary Tour as with its original creative team — including Tim Weil (Music Direction) and Marlies Yearby (Choreography).

Upon graduating from Tisch School of the Arts, Alex has since been linked to several new works. Their favorites include Water Riot: A Punk Rock Opera at The National Black Theatre & New York Live Arts, Nana with The Breaking The Binary Theatre Festival, Jamie Cepero’s Francois & The Rebels, & Black Women Are The Moon at The Obsidian Theatre Festival.

Most recently, Alex was seen on Max’s And Just Like That as Toby and while touring the country as a Swing & Assistant Dance Captain on the 1st National Tour of Hadestown.
